Internship Experience

​

During my summer internship, I worked with Decathlon teams in Malur and Anubhava. I met Hemanth Mudadla (Logistics director), and Mani Gopi from HR, who assigned me responsibilities. I also interacted with Various leaders Ncar Joythis Jagjevva Wcar Kripa Nagrajan like Rajiv and Saurabh Tajane, Nagarjun along with designers like Anwesha Sen(Brand designer) and  Keerthna Raveendran (Image leader) Bharat sevraj(UI UX designer)

The Purpose

  • Created standees for an employability program where individuals from NGOs participate in a training program to understand the company's operations. This program last either 6 months or 1 month which enables NGO participants to familiarize themselves with the company and potentially join its workforce.
     

  • Additionally, I've designed a standee showcasing our commitment to a sustainable future, aligning with Decathlon's focus on sustainability. Our employees actively participate in social initiatives such as tree planting and local cleanups, making positive contributions to the community."

  • Goal: Educate exhibition visitors about Decathlon’s sustainability initiatives, including plastic waste reduction, tree planting, and green transport.

Feelings to Evoke:

  • Awareness, Inform visitors about the importance of sustainability and how Decathlon is contributing to these efforts.​

  • Target Audience: Exhibition attendees interested in sustainability, environmental practices, and Decathlon’s role in promoting these values.

As Inspired by the quote My design decision was to use irregular outer shape for the product tags which reflects a thoughtful intention to break away from conventional design shape, and "good to be irregular"

Outcomes

  • During my internship, I had the opportunity to meet a diverse group of individuals, including warehouse workers. I conducted interviews like podcast, fostering professional relationships along the way. Additionally, I participated in friendly frisbee matches, taking part in tournaments organized between Decathlon offices, which added a fun element to my experience.
